About Thomas

Alder & Co. was founded by Thomas Nicholson, whose experience spans property management, construction, building services, maintenance and development.

With a background combining hands-on technical experience with property and asset management, Thomas has worked across building condition, maintenance and compliance through to refurbishment, contractor management, investment planning and wider property strategy.

He brings a practical understanding of buildings alongside experience of more complex property decisions — considering condition, risk, cost, use and longer-term value and bringing together the right people to find a sensible way forward.

Thomas is a member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), with professional development spanning construction management, building design and property compliance.

That breadth of experience shapes the way Alder & Co. works: practical, informed and focused on making good decisions for property over the long term.
